COVID-19 Emergency

Covid-19

It has now been a year since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has claimed millions of lives and affected global economies like never before.

Last year Al-Khair Foundation launched an international £1M appeal, to offer a lifeline to people in need by the impact of the Coronavirus around the globe.

Your response was amazing and we were able to help hundreds of thousands of people at home and abroad.

The Foundation will be purchased and delivered medical and hygiene kits for the most vulnerable suffering from the pandemic.

The initiative was initially rolled out in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Turkey and the Middle East, but the reach of the campaign increased as need increased.

Founder & Chairman Imam Qasim said: “We launched our appeal last year to respond to the pandemic that impacted people globally. We worked with communities and governments to put plans together to deal with this crisis situation and assisted them with aid supplies and more importantly medical support”.

With the rollout of the vaccine we have some hope that we will finally see the end of the pandemic in the UK and that our lives will return to some level of normality. However this is not the case globally, especially in developing countries where they are still suffering terribly as infection rates surge.

As a humanitarian agency we are providing medical relief and food aid. Many people have lost family members and others have lost their jobs due to the fallout from the pandemic. Millions have been left with long term health conditions and can no longer work.
