World Kindness Day was established by the World Kindness Movement (WKM) in 1998 with the aim to inspire greater kindness from individuals across the world and put aside our differences for the sake of general goodwill. In a world which is filled with much conflict and violence, it is easy to bypass the good in people, so why not dedicate one day to celebrating kindness and doing warm acts of goodness without expecting anything in return?.
In aid of World Kindness Day, Al-Khair Foundation has put together a compilation of kind acts that can easily be incorporated into your routine. We challenge you to take up our 24 kind acts in 24 hours challenge and put a smile on everyone’s face as you go about your day. Not only will you have a positive impact to those you interact with, but we guarantee that by taking up our challenge you will happier too! We’d love to see your pictures and videos completing our kind act challenge, so please post them via social media with the hashtag #worldkindnessday and tag us so that we can share and re-post.
World Kindness Day also extends to kindness on an international level and what better way to pledge an act of kindness than to support Al-Khair Foundation’s current appeals: European Refugee Rescue Appeal and South Asia Earthquake Appeal. With your kindness and generosity, we can continue to support the vulnerable and needy across the globe and ensure that the goodwill of World Kindness Day is spread annually.
