In Islam, Zakat is charity paid to the poor, which is obligatory upon every Muslim whose wealth exceeds a set minimum called the ‘Nisab.’ Zakat is 2.5% of this wealth and there are eight types of people to which Zakat can be given – the poor, the needy, the wayfarer, those employed to administer Zakat funds, those whose hearts have been reconciled to Islam, those in bondage, those in debt and in the cause of Allah (swt).
At AKF, accountability matters to us, and we know the importance of adhering to the rules of Zakat. We are careful that the zakat we receive is distributed only to beneficiaries who are eligible. Furthermore, we guarantee that 100% of your Zakat reaches the needy without deductions by us. If you’d like to pay your Zakat, please contact us.
