Chairman Imam Qasim Rashid Ahmad, has been honoured with an international award for Al-Khair Foundation’s forward-thinking work ethos.
He was recognised for excellence and won both the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) ‘Best Employer’ and ‘Global Sustainability’ Awards, at a prestigious event in Dubai on the 5th of October, 2016.
Al-Khair Foundation beat off stiff competition to be recognised for its invaluable contribution in creating a culture of innovation at work, developing and nurturing future leaders and being a social and equal opportunity employer.
Speaking at the event, Imam Qasim emphasised that the concept of humanity is vital in any humanitarian work, commenting that “This applies to the projects that a humanitarian organization undertakes as well as the environment that it nurtures in its offices for its employees. The notion of humanity needs to become inseparable from all our actions???.
The event was hosted by the Employer Branding Institute, Stars of the Industry Group, CHRO Asia and endorsed by the Asian Confederation of Businesses. The two awards won by Imam Qasim and Al-Khair Foundation recognise the instrumental impact the charity’s good practices have had in the sector, with its working ethos and conditions making it a sought-after employer.
A celebration of the best talent in human resources development, the event was attended by more than 200 senior leaders from across the globe along with bureaucrats from a wide variety of countries.
