An application to register Al-Khair Foundation (UK) as an INGO in Pakistan was made in November 2015. However this application was withdrawn by us in August 2017 before it was processed, when Al-Khair Foundation (UK) made a strategic decision to continue its work in Pakistan via its partner organisation Al-Khair Foundation (PAK).

As a result, although Al-Khair Foundation (UK) is not registered as an INGO in Pakistan, it continues to deliver aid via its partner organisation.

We deeply regret this incorrect information on the Pakistan Ministry of Interior’s website, and fail to understand how an organisation can be banned when it is not even registered there. All affected assets, offices and bank accounts are fully secured and operational, and furthermore, the work continues unabated by this announcement.
